Circular Lawns & Gravel PathsCategory: Flower Bed Design Garden Design Project: FBDJAD001
This is a sloping garden in Goring on Thames that had very steep steps leading into the garden from a very small north facing terrace. The design opened up the garden and minimised the slope for a safer more stylish garden for my clients a newly retired couple.
Before gravel paths - the steep unattractive steps and terrace.
A new garden transformed the property and my clients’ enjoyment of it. I designed the lawns sweeping around two existing trees with Mediterranean planting to suit the dry chalky site.
The new garden with box balls, mature silver bitch trees and pretty apple tree within the lawns.
Mediterranean themed planting with obelisks for climbers dotted through the garden to lead the eye and create interest.
Here the resin bound gravel paths clearly defines the circular lawn and shows the flower borders with their pretty silver planting.
The new terrace with reclaimed brick retaining walls and smart slope into the garden for safe access for wheelchair use.
