Victorian Evergreen Contemporary Garden Design in North LondonCategory: Contemporary, Modern & ArtisticGarden Design Project: CONGLD001
The site included the main period property and an original coach house. The renovation took the property back to the barebones of structure and added a Contemporary glass extension to the rear elevation.
The Garden Design focus was to create a space which integrated the main house and coach house together. A Garden Design which created a timeless space, bringing together the Period Architecture and the Contemporary extension and glass works.
A space for relaxation, entertaining and occasional parties, whilst still be suitable for the three children. The Garden Design concept is simple in form, with a clean, linear and geometric out-line.
Large swathes of box hedging dress the garden creating a stronger shape and form. Perennial planting gives a light, soft essence. Ornamental grasses dress a walkway between the main house and coach house.
Modern brushed stainless steel frames house small LED lights above the walkway. Also to provide privacy with high level screening and specifically placed specimen trees.
The main terrace is framed by a combination of Evergreen classical planting and perennial planting to give both solid structure and a more loose, naturalistic effect.
