Fossil Mint Sandstone Steps

The plans for these steps required an element of geometry to create a semi circular design.

The damp course was considerably higher than the ground so we built a wall from outside using a combination of blocks and engineering bricks to create a strong sub structure.

Every Paving slab had to be cut individually to the correct shape using a template to mark out all the different sizes ensuring that the steps would fit together perfectly without ending up with small pieces of Sandstone.

Cosmetic sandstone risers covered the blocks and engineering bricks leaving a 2 inch overhang.

Once the paving had been pointed the client was left with a grand entrance/exit between the lounge and garden.
