Historical & Famous Gardens and National Trust Places to VisitThere's something about Famous Gardens that draws just about everyone. Botanical Gardens can be found around the world, but there are plenty of Historical and National Trust gardens right here in our own country. These gardens are cared for by hundreds of employees and thousands of volunteers and well worth a visit if you're looking for an enjoyable way to spend a day. Biddulph Grange Garden
It's designed to take you around the world. Here you'll find Chinese and Egyptian gardens, a Scottish glen and a rhododendron garden. The various sections feature plants from their featured countries as well as little details like a the red bridge in the Chinese Garden. There are plenty of things to see and water features keep this famous garden cool and peaceful. Hidcote Manor Garden
It's located in Gloucestershire and was originally planted by Lawrence Johnston. He created a unique garden that is defined by various rooms, created by hedges that make up the walls. Each section features different types of plants and you'll find some very rare plant species here, as well as more old fashioned roses and topiaries. The garden borders are particularly elaborate and create a finished look for the entire place. Sissinghurst Castle Garden
You'll enjoy the White Garden, a Herb Garden, Rose Garden, and Cottage Garden, among many others, all of which are exquisitely designed. This is a wonderful place to gain inspiration for your own landscaping endeavours. Studley Royal Water Garden
You'll find long sweeping walks with waterfalls, lakes and temples scattered throughout, making this a truly impressive National Trust garden to visit. There are also ruins throughout, which add extra interest to the site. Bodnant Garden
In this garden, you'll find formal lawns and Italian Terraces in one area, but the other areas include a forest and a wild garden. This is truly a mix of tastes and it's not difficult to see why it was chosen as a location, with views of Snowdonia. These Famous Garden were started back in 1875 and has been perfected over the years. Stourhead Garden
Beautiful flowers bloom throughout the year and the fall is a real treat, with blazing colours from maples and assorted other trees . Of course, all gardens are in full bloom over the summer, which is when it's usually best to see them, but if you've already enjoyed the summer sights, try visiting in the spring or fall. You might be surprised at what the change in seasons does. It gives a whole new look to some of the more beautiful places on Earth. There are plenty of Famous Gardens to enjoy throughout the country, but if you run out of National Trust places to visit, consider that there are Botanical Gardens in nearly every country, many of them Historical. You will have no trouble finding new places to visit.
