Tanalised Sleeper Raised Beds for Runner Beans and other Vegetables

Raised Beds are becoming increasingly popular for growing Vegetables.

Sleeper Raised Beds

Our clients had a part of their garden which they wanted to convert into a growing area for Vegetables using Raised Beds.

Raised Beds For Runner Beans

They wanted something functional, aesthetically pleasing and long lasting; they also wanted to be able to cover some of the beds with mesh or fleece to keep pests out.

Tanalised Railway Sleepers

Three of the beds have 75 x 75 x 1600mm Tanalised posts in the corners so that the mesh or fleece can be put over the top of each bed if required. Eyelets can be screwed in at 150-200mm spacing and gripple nylon wire can be tensioned diagonally from each post to create a climbing frame for Runner Beans etc.

Each Sleeper was 2400 x 250 x 125mm Tanalised. The beds were designed to get the maximum use out of each Sleeper therefore minimising wastage.
